CT’s HUSKY Health program helps women pay for the care they need. That includes wellness checks, end-of-life care, and dozens of services in between. Take time today to learn about the costs it covers and find out if you qualify.

Women and Children Services
Making sure women and children have the care they need is a priority for CT. If you’re pregnant or have children, you have options for health care insurance and may qualify for support services.
  • WIC 
    The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children provides food and breastfeeding assistance.
  • HUSKY B 
    The new HUSKY B prenatal care program offers coverage for unborn children of non-citizens.
  • HOME VISITS 
    Home visit programs reach pregnant women and parents and caregivers of children under the age of 5.

Breast and Cervical Cancer Prevention
The Connecticut Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program offers breast and cervical cancer screening, diagnostic, and treatment services free of charge.
  • Heart Disease 
    The CT WISEWOMAN Program helps 40-64 year-old women reduce their risk for heart disease.
  • Genetic Testing 
    If you come from a family with a history of breast cancer, ovarian cancer, or both, you may want to consider getting tested for BRCA gene mutations.
  • Sexual Violence 
    A free and confidential statewide hotline is available 24-hours a day, seven days a week to listen and offer support.

Connecticut law guarantees the right to abortion care. Learn more about your rights, paying for care, and free legal assistance.
